§ 1 Organizer
Härnösands OK, Org. Reg. No. 888000-8548, is the main organizer and Bondsjöhöjdens IK Skidor and Öbacka LK are co-organizers.
§ 2 The competitor
The person who entered any race in Härnö Trail.
§ 3 The race
The competitor move along the designated course without any aids. The competitor must not accept help from outsiders. Help from steward is excluded. Deviations from the course leads to disqualification. The organizers have the landowners permission to conduct the competition along the course. The race committee reserves the right to adjust the course during the period prior to the event’s implementation. There are energy stations along the course of about 4-5 km apart. Medical service will be vehicle-mounted and to be called by stewards. The race takes place in the following classes, men 20,8 km, women 20,8 km, men 9,0 km and women 9,0 km. The start is by mass start. All competitors who compete in the same distance start together. First to cross the finish line in each class is the winner.
§ 4 Equipment
Required equipment: timing chip, number bib provided by the organizer and to be worn visibly on the chest throughout the race.
Recommended equipment: wind jacket, tube, running shoes with soles for varied terrain (studded shoes), elastic bandage, mobile phone.
§ 5 Timing
Timing starts at the start signal and the competitor’s end time is obtained when the competitor has crossed the finish line. Timing chip will be used as the official timing. Official results are presented on the website www.harnotrail.se after the race. Härnö Trail has a maximum time of 5 hours, regardless of class.
§ 6 Liability
The competitors participate in Härnö Trail at their own risk. Competition insurance is not included in the fee, review your insurance coverage!
– The competitors should know the rules and follow them.
– There is an obligation to help fellow competitors or others in distress.
– Competitors shall show respect for stewards, local residents, landowners and grazing animals.
– Competitors must follow the steward’s call.
– If competitors are forced to break the contest, it shall be communicated to the steward without any delay.
– Littering along the course is strictly forbidden. The race partially takes place in a nature reserve with a very unique environment. All that is carried from the start is to be carried to the finish. Debris can be thrown in the trash at the energy stations.
§ 7 Registration
Registration for Härnö Trail is binding. The entry fee is not refunded in case of illness or injury that renders cancellations. Personal exchanges are allowed. Any financial aspects of the exchange is handled between the respective persons. Härnö Trail will not refund the entry fee. The exchange is done via e-mail to email@example.com with the new entrant’s first and last name, desired class, team or city, e-mail adress, telephone number, telephone number to relative and date of birth. Exchange can be made until September 24 2017. The competitor is allowed to change distance (from 22,2k to 9,7k or vice versa) until September 24 2017. The change requires that the current registration fee is paid. The change is made via email to firstname.lastname@example.org. By your registration you agree that your name, team/city, bib number, pictures/movies from the race, the start time and the finish time are published on the internet or in other media.
§ 8 Rules
The rules is to be followed by competitors. Fail to do so leads to disqualification. The set of rules is monitored by an appointed jury. The jury consists of the Race Director and two members of the organization. The jury handles any protests, their decisions can not be appealed. The jury’s decision against the competitor may lead to disqualification or possible time penalty for petty offenses (minor offense leads to at least 15 minutes time penalty). Any protest must be submitted in writing to the jury within 45 minutes after the finish. By paying the entry fee, the competitors accepted the rules of the competition.
§ 9 Security
The competitor is responsible for his own safety. The Race Committee may prevent competitors from continuing the race if they are considered to be so tired that their own safety is in danger and/or the maximum time will not be managed.
§ 10 Media, internet and publishing
Competitors consent to the pictures taken by the race organization or of the press may be used in the event’s marketing or in the press/media. Number bibs must not be cut or folded so that any sponsors’ logos are not exposed in the intended manner.
